Yong Eon Park, DDS

Dr. Yong Eon Park received a bachelor’s degree in English Literature from the Dong-A University in Pusan, Korea, in 1988 before studying dentistry. In 2002, he graduated from the Manila Central University in Manila, Philippines, with his D.D.S. degree. Dr. Park continues to improve his education and dental skills every year and has taken residency courses in advanced fixed prosthodontics, implant and complex prosthodontics, comprehensive aesthetics, and AIC Implant Training.

Dr. Park has worked in the Bakersfield area since 2003 and holds memberships with the American Dental Association (ADA), California Dental Association (CDA), and Kern County Dental Society (KCDS). He has been married to his wife, Jane, for over 20 years. They have two sons, Kiefer, who is taking pre-dental and business courses, and Robert, who is still in elementary school. In his spare time, Dr. Park loves spending time with his family and friends, longboarding, reading, working with the Korean Association, and listening to music.

Dr. Park strives to educate, help, and encourage the patients who visit his practice. He has a passion for practicing conservative, cohesive, and compassionate dentistry and wants to take the time to provide excellent dental care for his patients. The door to his office has the words: Help Patient, Help Practice, Have Fun. Dr. Park follows his goals by calming nervous patients, educating them, and providing the best treatment possible.

keishaKeisha Tingey—Office Manager & Registered Dental Assistant
Keisha earned a degree in dental assisting in 2006 from Kaplan College and became a licensed Registered Dental Assistant less than a year later. She has worked for Dr. Yong Eon Park since 2010 and loves how he inspires the team to provide excellent care and education for patients. Keisha and the other members of the team strive to make a difference in patients’ lives every day.Keisha does anything needed to help Bright Dental Care and the patients who visit us. She handles the front and back office, insurance billing, patient treatment coordination, scheduling, chairside assisting, and works with Dr. Yong Eon Park to help patients understand and receive treatment. Keisha has been married for 17 years and has two daughters. She loves the written word, music, sports, and taking spontaneous adventures.
Kristen Haslam-RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Kristen graduated from Taft College in 2012 with an Associate of Science degree in Dental Hygiene. Since graduating, Kristen has broadened her oral health knowledge base with hands-on experience by working with an orthodontist, a periodontist, and an implant specialist. She has volunteered her dental hygiene skills at the Veterans Association in Bakersfield. She has also worked with the First 5 organization, which is focused on kindergarteners and first graders, providing dental cleanings and hygiene supplies.
Kristen excels in providing quick, thorough, and comfortable cleanings. She has amazing skills in explaining oral care in simple and understandable terms. This helps encourage our patients, and equips them with the tools they need to produce an effective change in their home care. When Kristen is not at work, you can find her enjoying her family. She enjoys every moment she spends playing with her toddler or watching movies with her husband.
Christina Hutchings-RDH (Registered Dental Hygienist)
Christina graduated from Taft College in 2012 with an Associates of Science degree in Dental Hygiene (with Kristen Haslam). She is happy to be a part of the Bright Dental Care family. Christina enjoys helping people improve their overall health by improving their oral health, and loves to see our patient’s healthy and happy smiles after their cleanings. She considers that the best part of her day! Christina tries to make dental cleanings as relaxing as possible to alleviate any fears, and calm any dental anxiety a patient may have; she used to have a dental phobia herself. You will find her cleaning patient’s teeth with precision and skill, sprinkled with love. When Christina isn’t having fun at work, she is usually out playing with her puppy Gibson, reading, exercising at the gym, or listening to music.

desiraeDesirae S. Espinoza-RDA (Registered Dental Assistant)
Desirae graduated from Kaplan College in dental assisting in 2013 and recently received her Registered Dental Assistant state license. At Bright Dental Care she takes X-rays, educates patients about oral hygiene, assists Dr. Yong Eon Park during procedures, and also creates study models, bleaching trays, retainers, and anything else the practice or patients need.Desirae loves how Bright Dental Care is family oriented. She feels that the other members of the team are like family; they communicate well and work together. When she isn’t working, she trains in CrossFit and Jiu-Jitsu. Desirae also enjoys playing with her dogs, going shooting, and listening to music.
gabrielaGabriela Huitron-Dental Assistant
Gabriela graduated from the San Joaquin Valley College with an Associate of Science degree in dental assisting in 2011 and started working for Dr. Yong Eon Park not long after that. She checks in patients, takes X-rays, does exams with Dr. Yong Eon Park, and assists him with all procedures.Gabriela loves how she and the team at Bright Dental Care don’t just work, but have fun as well. She loves to help patients develop trust, feel comfortable, and walk out with a smile. When Gabriela isn’t having fun at work, she likes to sing and watch her family play soccer.
LeissleLeissle Eve Flores-Dental Assistant
Leissle has attended Bakersfield College and graduated from Kaplan College in dental assisting in 2012. She works to give patients excellent care and to help them feel as comfortable as possible. She always had a great experience when she visited the dentist as a child, so she hopes to make her patients feel just as happy and relaxed when they visit Bright Dental Care.The part of her job she loves the most is being a part of the team with the other members of Bright Dental Care. When she isn’t at work, Leissle enjoys playing sports, singing, going to the gym, and reading.
